Responsibilities
- Conceptual design, component specification, system hardware design and programming.
- Work closely with other engineers and technical staff.
- Provide engineering support for field service technicians.
- Provide technical training at client facilities as needed.
- Sustain the existing products and work within the constraints of existing methods and standards.
- Up to 20% domestic travel may be required, international travel is a possibility.
Qualifications
- Bachelor Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent work experience in capital equipment design and service.
- 2-4 years of related electrical design experience.
- Proficient in the use of CAD software for electrical design documentation utilizing SolidWorks Electrical, AutoCAD or similar system.
- In-depth understanding of PLC hardware, software platforms, and HMI programming.
- Programming of Allen-Bradley PLCs or CODESYS PLC systems (Bosch RexRoth preferred, Siemens, Beckhoff, etc.).
- Experienced in IEC programming languages, Ladder logic, Function blocks and Structured text.
- Web development skills preferred, HTML, Java Script, CSS, SQL, Python and Visual basics.
- Valid driving license and ability to travel, up to 20%, including internationally.
