Key Responsibilities
- Perform electrical control systems engineering for projects and ongoing plant support with limited guidance.
- Develop, scope, justify, coordinate, and manage multiple industrial electrical and control system projects simultaneously.
- Prepare and review technical electrical specifications for equipment and process upgrades.
- Collaborate with the Corporate Electrical Group to review and implement corporate electrical specifications and standards.
- Provide technical support to manufacturing operations, including electrical safety program execution (e.g., arc flash studies, IR studies).
- Manage project budgets, schedules, scopes, deliverables, and reporting ensuring alignment with organizational objectives.
- Cookordinate, review, and oversee supplier and contractor activities on- and off-site including commissioning, startup, and training of plant personnel.
- Develop bid request documentation and participate in supplier evaluations and purchasing recommendations.
- Manage external engineering consultants and resources as necessary.
- Perform root cause failure analysis for plant operations and develop corrective action plans.
- Maintain effective communication with management and project stakeholders regarding project and support status.
Required Qualifications
- Holds a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Engineering Technology, or related engineering field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in control systems engineering in continuous and/or discrete manufacturing environments.
- Strong knowledge of Distributed Control Systems (DCS), Allen-Bradley PLCs, HMIs, including programming and network communications.
- Demonstrated project management experience handling multiple projects ($50K to $2M) concurrently.
- Working knowledge of NFPA 70E Electrical Safety standards, including arc flash and shock hazard assessments.
- Ability to work collaboratively with internal teams and external engineering resources.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to task completion and process improvement.
