Responsibilities
- Lead electrical design projects for commercial and municipal clients including facilities assessments and with a focus on higher ed and office/municipal buildings
- Lead engineer in designing, analyzing, and developing electrical systems for commercial, residential and industrial projects
- Collaborate with senior engineers to create electrical plans, specifications, and calculations
- Producing contract drawings using AutoCAD and Revit
- Conduct field visits to record existing conditions, assess project progress, and ensure compliance with design specifications
- Aid in the preparation of technical reports and documentation
- Participate in project meetings, providing insights and recommendations to design solutions
- Stay current with industry trends and advancements in electrical engineering power design
Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering (BSEE)
- 5-10 years of experience
- Strong understanding of electrical systems and codes
- Proficiency in the latest version of AutoCAD, Revit, Microsoft products, and electrical design tools
- Capability to work on multiple projects
- Eagerness to learn and grow within the field of electrical engineering
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team
- Ability to mentor junior level electrical engineers
- Ability to work independently with general instructions/guidance from project manager and produce the expected results
- Ability to meet strict deadlines and work well under pressure
