Electrical BIM Designer
Job Summary
This job opportunity is available at ANY location in the United States. Ideally, selected candidates will be near a JACOBS U.S. based office, but we intend to hire the "best" candidates.

Responsibilities
- Create and manage content towards fully coordinated 3D models across all design disciplines (C,S,A,M,E,P,T,I,L) using Revit, Navisworks, and AutoCAD.
- Create 2D construction drawings in coordination with other designers, discipline leads, architects, and engineers.
- Work under the direction of electrical discipline or project leads to showcase your Revit expertise while adhering to Jacobs and client BIM standards.
- Collaborate with senior electrical design staff to turn design intent into constructable deliverables including clash-free 3D models.
Requirements
- High school graduate or equivalent
- At least 3 years of BIM design experience
- At least 3 years of relevant experience in electrical systems design and the construction industry
- A growing understanding of how codes and standards shape design decisions
- A growing understanding of design and construction specifications and their function
- A basic understanding of wiring/cabling connections in relation to a circuit or a link between devices and equipment
- Experience following client design and modeling standards
- Familiarity with Bluebeam or similar markup software
- Effective written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to estimate hours required for design and modeling efforts based on provided mark-ups and/or verbal direction requests
- Willingness to learn new things
Qualifications
- At least 3 years of Revit and/or AutoCAD design experience
- Understanding of data center environments
- Knowledge and design experience with power, cable routing, and lighting systems
- Knowledge of electrical systems and one-line diagrams

Pay
The base salary range for this position is $66,000.00 to $90,800.00; though will be paid hourly based on hours worked. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
Schedule
Employees have the option to split their work week between Jacobs offices/projects and remote locations, enabling them to deliver their best work.
