Troubleshooting and Maintenance
- Troubleshoots electronic system failures to the component level.
- Works with Senior Electronic Technicians to fulfill internal/external customer requirements, including event and trailer requirements.
- Solders various surface mount and through-hole components.
- Diagnostics potential causes of equipment malfunction using knowledge of equipment and/or technical drawings.
- Aids remotes operations personnel with technical troubleshooting of simple problems.
- Repairs and calibrates equipment as needed.
- Installs, maintains, and troubleshoots RF communication equipment.
- Builds, installs, maintains, and/or troubleshoots various forms of RF, Fiber, and power cables.
- Maintains an operational test bench with various test equipment.
Position Requirements
- Technical degree in electronics field or sufficient training and experience to perform the essential functions of the position is required.
- Three (3) years’ experience in electronic maintenance environment is required.
- Ability to read and interpret schematics and technical drawings and instructions.
- Knowledge of two-way radios and RF communication systems.
- Ability to work with various hand tools.
- Ability to define problems, collect data, and draw valid conclusions.
- Basic understanding of installing and updating software.
- Knowledge of video signals and test patterns.
- Proficient in use of test equipment as required in assigned area of responsibility.
