About the role
We are seeking an experienced Electric Technician with a current Journeyman Electrician license to perform electrical installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair work. This position supports field operations and project completion by ensuring electrical systems and equipment are installed and maintained safely, accurately, and in compliance with applicable electrical codes and company standards.
Responsibilities
- Perform electrical installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair work on electrical systems and equipment.
- Review project plans, specifications, blueprints, schematics, and work orders to support accurate project execution.
- Diagnose and resolve electrical issues in a timely and professional manner.
- Ensure all work complies with company policies, safety standards, and applicable electrical codes.
- Cookordinate with employees, vendors, subcontractors, and internal departments regarding project activities and operational needs.
- Maintain accurate records, reports, and documentation related to electrical work and project activities.
- Support project schedules and assist with resolving operational concerns in the field.
- Monitor equipment, materials, and job-site conditions to promote operational efficiency and safety.
- Assist with training and supporting less experienced technicians as needed.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Current Journeyman Electrician license valid in the state or jurisdiction where the work is performed.
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems, equipment, installation methods, and troubleshooting techniques.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, project plans, and electrical documentation.
- Proficiency with electrical tools, testing equipment, and related systems.
- Strong understanding of workplace safety practices and applicable electrical codes.
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making skills.
- Ability to diagnose electrical issues and resolve problems effectively under pressure.
- Strong attention to detail and operational awareness.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced field environment.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with teams and departments.
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Ability to pass required pre-employment screenings, including background and motor vehicle record checks.
Physical Requirements
- Communicate in person, by phone, and through email.
- Travel as required to support project and operational needs.
- Stand, walk, climb ladders and stairs, kneel, bend, stoop, crouch, crawl, reach, and lift throughout the workday.
- Sit for extended periods while driving to and between job sites.
- Work on active job sites, indoors and outdoors, including attics, crawlspaces, and confined or elevated spaces, with exposure to varying weather, construction noise, dust, and other job site conditions.
- Wear safety gear such as Personal Protective Equipment.
- Maintain dependable transportation and consistent, reliable attendance to meet customer service and operational needs.
- Exercise sound judgment and make independent decisions within established company policies and procedures.
- Perform all work on-site and in person; this is not a remote or hybrid position.
- Lift, carry, push, and pull at least 50 pounds.
