Electrical and Instrumentation Technician

About the Role

Seeking an Electrical and Instrumentation Technician responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing electrical power and control systems in an industrial setting. Key duties include servicing LV/MV motors, switchgear, PLC systems, and instrumentation, as well as assisting with preventative maintenance and working with contractor personnel.

Responsibilities

• Perform electrical system maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs.
• Assist in preventative maintenance activities.
• Collaborate with contractors and team members.
• Contribute to cost-reduction and productivity initiatives.
• Participate in training and cross-training programs.
• Ensure safety protocols are followed and hazards are mitigated.
• Maintain a clean work environment and adhere to environmental policies.
• Support team meetings and perform assigned tasks, including work on rotating shifts and on-call duties.

Requirements

• High School diploma or GED; technical degree preferred.
• 2-4 years of relevant experience or equivalent education.
• Knowledge of electrical theory and safety practices.
• Ability to follow safety protocols and use PPE properly.
• Strong communication skills and a safety-conscious mindset.
