Electrical and Instrumentation Drafter (entry level)

Job Responsibilities

• Work under the supervision of Engineers and Lead Designers to prepare project deliverables based on red-lined drawings or using designs from similar projects.
• Understand schedules and progress tracking.
• Multitask, working on more than one project at a time.
• Self-check work products.
• Build and maintain professional relationships with design teams and other disciplines.
• Develop and improve technical knowledge and skills.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent (post-secondary training a plus)
• 0-2 years of drafting or design experience
• Basic proficiency with CAD software packages
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel
• Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn
• Ability to accept direction, feedback, and mentorship

Preferred (Not Required)

• Exposure to Electrical and/or Instrumentation drafting
• Familiarity with Bluebeam Revu
• Familiarity with Autodesk Navisworks Freedom
• Familiarity with Microsoft Teams

Target Salary Range

$22.00 to $26.00 per hour.

Physical Requirements

• Constantly required to sit, stand, walk, stoop, kneel, bend, and reach with hands and arms.
• Constantly use hands to keyboard or type, handle materials, or manipulate objects.
• Light work that includes lifting and/or moving up to 20 pounds and, occasionally, up to 50 pounds.
• Frequently move about to accomplish tasks.
