Electrical Designer/Drafter

The Role

Create and revise electrical drawings — schematics, one-line/three-line diagrams, panel schedules, wiring diagrams, and installation details.

Develop electrical layouts for power distribution, lighting, grounding, and control systems.

Perform basic electrical calculations — load, voltage drop, conduit fill, and panel sizing.

Coordinate with engineers, project managers, mechanical designers, and the in-house panel shop.

Maintain document control and revision tracking; support field RFIs and as-built updates.

What We Need

• 3–5 years of electrical design and drafting experience in an industrial environment
• Proficiency in AutoCAD — required
• Associate degree, technical diploma, or certification in Electrical Drafting or Engineering Technology — preferred
• Strong knowledge of NEC and NFPA standards
• Able to interpret engineering sketches, specs, and markups into construction-ready drawings
• Strong communication skills and ability to work independently and collaboratively
