Electric Technician - Commercial

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair commercial electrical systems and equipment.
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, work orders, and project plans.
• Diagnose electrical issues and complete repairs safely and efficiently.
• Follow company policies, safety standards, and applicable electrical codes.
• Coincide with coworkers, customers, vendors, subcontractors, and leadership.
• Maintain accurate documentation, reports, and service records.
• Monitor tools, materials, equipment, and job site conditions.
• Support project timelines and assist less experienced technicians as needed.

Qualifications

• Previous electrical installation, maintenance, or troubleshooting experience.
• Commercial electrical experience.
• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Electrical certifications or licenses preferred, and required where applicable.
• Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and electrical documentation.
• Strong troubleshooting, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Knowledge of electrical tools, testing equipment, safety practices, and electrical codes.
• Able to work independently and as part of a team.

Physical Requirements

• Travel to and between job sites as needed.
• Stand, walk, bend, kneel, climb ladders/stairs, crawl, reach, and work in confined or elevated spaces.
• Work indoors and outdoors in varying job site conditions.
• Lift, carry, push, and pull at least 50 pounds.
• Wear required PPE and follow all safety procedures.
• Must have dependable transportation and reliable attendance.
• Overtime, modified schedules, or occasional weekends may be required.
