Commercial Electrical Service Technician
About the role
Hunt Electric, Inc. is seeking full-time Electrical Service Technicians to join their team. The role offers opportunities to grow in the Service Department, installing electrical work, troubleshooting, and resolving issues.
Responsibilities
- Respond to jobs as scheduled by coordinator and manager.
- Be proficient in analyzing, troubleshooting, and resolving electrical issues.
- Keep van stocked as described with material per the list provided by manager.
- Drive van in a professional and courteous manner.
- Ensure van is clean, organized, and tools are maintained and accounted for.
- Maintain a neat and presentable appearance.
- Order materials as required for job completion.
- Fill out paperwork daily and turn in as directed by manager.
- Let customer know you are finished and verify satisfaction upon leaving.
- Signed work order prior to leaving site.
- Basic computer skills including Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.
- Sell service whenever possible and when in areas with other businesses around.
- Leave a card or pamphlet with each completed project.
- Work together with other technicians and managers on ideas for improvement.
- Show customers sense of urgency, discuss the project with them, if needed, and complete work in a timely manner.
- Actively contribute to a positive team mentality.
- Demonstrate dependability with regular attendance and compliance to scheduled work hours.
- Knowledge of the National Electric Code.
- Self-starter attitude.
- Other duties or locations as assigned by Manager.
Requirements
- Be respectful and courteous at all times.
- Problem-solving skills.
- Valid Driver’s License and clean MVR for the past 7 years.
- Ability to work with other trades.
- Experience in all aspects of electrical systems including commercial, industrial, residential, electrical efficiency, fire alarm, lighting control systems, lighting types, heat tape, and experience with Xcel Energy and other electrical utility guidelines.
- Flexible with constant changes and moving around.
Qualifications
- A current Journeyman license is required.
- A valid reciprocal state journeyman license will be considered if a state license is obtained within 30 days.
Skills
- Read, interpret, and understand electrical plans, complex circuit schematics, and blueprints.
- Install control circuits and other components.

Work Schedule
This is a full-time position with a typical working schedule of Monday - Thursday 7:00am - 4:30pm and Friday 7:00am - 2:00pm.
