Commercial Electrical Service Technician

About the role

Hunt Electric, Inc. is seeking an Electrical Service Technician to join our dynamic team. This position offers opportunities for growth within our Service Department.

Responsibilities

• Respond to jobs as scheduled by coordinator and manager.
• Proficient in analyzing, troubleshooting, and resolving electrical issues.
• Keep van stocked as described with material per the list provided by manager.
• Drive van in a professional and courteous manner.
• Ensure van is clean, organized, and all tools are maintained and accounted for.
• Maintain a neat and presentable appearance.
• Order materials as required for job completion.
• Fill out paperwork daily and turn in as directed by manager.
• Let customer know you are finished and verify satisfaction upon leaving.
• Ensure work order is signed prior to leaving site.
• Use basic computer skills including Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.
• Sell service whenever possible and leave cards/pamphlets with customers.
• Work together with other technicians and managers on ideas for improvement.
• Show customers sense of urgency and complete work in a timely manner.
• Contribute to a positive team environment.
• Demonstrate dependability with regular attendance and compliance to scheduled work hours.
• Show knowledge of the National Electric Code.

Requirements

• Be respectful and courteous at all times.
• Problem-solving abilities.
• Leave job site cleaner than when you got there.
• Valid Driver’s License and clean MVR for the past 7 years.
• Ability to operate vehicles and equipment.
• Experience with all aspects of electrical systems including commercial, industrial, residential, electrical efficiency, fire alarm, lighting control systems, lighting types, heat tape, and experience with Xcel Energy and other electrical utility guidelines.
• Flexibility with constant changes and moving around.
• Valid Journeyman electrical license.

Qualifications

• Basic computer skills including Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.
• Valid Driver’s License and clean MVR for the past 7 years.
• Operating vehicles and equipment.
• Experience with all aspects of electrical systems including commercial, industrial, residential, electrical efficiency, fire alarm, lighting control systems, lighting types, heat tape, and experience with Xcel Energy and other electrical utility guidelines.
• Valid Journeyman electrical license.

Schedule

This is a full-time position with a typical working schedule of Monday - Thursday 7:00am - 4:30pm and Friday 7:00am - 2:00pm.
