Commercial Electrical Service Technician

Hunt Electric, Inc. is seeking an Electrical Service Technician to join our dynamic team. This position offers opportunities for growth within our Service Department.

Responsibilities

• Respond to jobs as scheduled by coordinator and manager.
• Proficient in analyzing, troubleshooting, and resolving electrical issues.
• Keep van stocked with materials as per the manager's list.
• Drive van professionally and courteously, maintaining cleanliness and organization.
• Maintain neat and presentable appearance.
• Order materials as required for job completion.
• Fill out and submit daily paperwork as directed by manager.
• Inform customers of completion and verify their satisfaction.
• Ensure work orders are signed before leaving the site.
• Use basic computer skills including Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.
• Sell service wherever possible and leave promotional materials with clients.
• Collaborate with other technicians and managers to improve processes.
• Show customers a sense of urgency and complete work promptly.
• Contribute positively to a supportive team environment.
• Show dependability with regular attendance and adherence to scheduled work hours.
• Show knowledge of the National Electric Code.
• Be a self-starter and dependable.

Qualifications

• Respectful and courteous behavior at all times.
• Problem-solving abilities.
• Leave job sites cleaner than when entered.
• Valid Driver’s License and clean MVR for the past 7 years.
• Ability to operate vehicles and equipment.
• Experience working with other trades.
• Knowledge of various electrical systems including commercial, industrial, residential, electrical efficiency, fire alarm, lighting control systems, heat tape, and familiarity with Xcel Energy guidelines.
• Flexibility to adapt to constant changes and move around.
• Valid Journeyman electrical license.
