What You’ll Do
- Diagnose, repair, and rebuild AC and DC motors and electro-mechanical equipment
- Perform teardown, inspection, and reassembly of motors and components
- Conduct dynamic balancing of rotors and armatures
- Replace and repair mechanical components (bearings, seals, brushes, gears, etc.)
- Use precision tools and testing equipment (megger, surge tester, vibration analysis, etc.)
- Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical issues with confidence
- Operate shop equipment including overhead cranes and test panels
- Support occasional field service work, including equipment removal and installation
- Keep accurate job documentation and time records
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized workspace
- Mentor and support junior mechanics as your experience grows
What We’re Looking For
- Experience repairing electric motors or similar rotating equipment
- Strong mechanical aptitude and working knowledge of electrical fundamentals
- Able to read, diagnose, and solve equipment issues
- Experience with precision measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, dial indicators)
- Familiarity with vibration analysis (preferred for senior-level candidates)
- Self-driven with a strong work ethic and attention to detail
- Valid driver’s license and ability to support occasional field work
