About the Role
Performs professional and technical duties involved in cardiac diagnostic procedures utilizing electrocardiographic equipment on patients of all ages. The EKG Technician will perform diagnostic cardiac testing, including electrocardiograms (EKGs/ECGs), while ensuring patient comfort, safety, privacy, and accurate test results. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, dependable, and able to work effectively with patients and healthcare professionals in a fast-paced clinical environment.
Responsibilities
- Perform electrocardiograms (EKGs/ECGs) and other cardiac diagnostic procedures.
- Ensure patient comfort, safety, and privacy during testing.
- Deliver accurate and timely test results.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals in a fast-paced clinical setting.
Requirements
- Minimum formal education of High School Diploma or GED required; Associate's Degree or higher preferred.
- EKG training and certification.
- EKG Certification.
- BLS Certification (issued by AHA or ARC).
- A minimum of one year recent experience preferred.
Schedule
- Shift: Evenings (Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday)
- Hours: 3:00 PM – 11:00 PM
- Status: Part-time (minimum of 24 hours per week) – benefits eligible
Pay
The minimum rate for this position is $18.00 per hour. The rate of pay will be determined based on the candidate's relevant experience, qualifications, and skills. This rate does not include bonuses, incentives, differential pay, or other forms of compensation.
