Responsibilities

• Administering standard EKGs, Holter monitor hook-ups, and signal average EKGs.
• Analyzing cardiac rhythms and arrhythmias and reporting critical changes to nursing or medical staff.
• Managing computer processing of test data, filing records, and handling internal communications.

Qualifications

Education: Requires completion of a Basic EKG Course and a min 1 year exp

Certifications: Must obtain Basic Life Support (BLS) or Basic Cardiac Life Support certification (often within 30 days of hire)

Skills

Working knowledge of medical terminology and demonstrated ability to read cardiac tracings.
