EKG Technician Per Diem

About the role

The Unlicensed Electrocardiogram Technician assists physicians in performing various diagnostic cardiology procedures on adult patients, including electrocardiograms, rhythm strips, stress testing, nuclear stress testing, stress portions of stress echocardiograms, Holter applications, and signal average ECGs.

Responsibilities

• Processes paperwork for each procedure
• Aids in establishing and maintaining new and existing procedures within the Cardiology Department
• Fulfills the mission of AHMC Anaheim Regional Medical Center
• Demonstrates behavior consistent with the core values of AHMC-ARMC
• Supports AHMC Anaheim Regional Medical Center’s strategic plan and goals
• Supports the performance improvement plan
• Supports organizational expectations including Customer Service, Patient’s Rights, Confidentiality of Information, Environment of Care, and RegionalCare initiatives

Requirements

• Completion of formal training program in cardiovascular training or 1 year experience in performing specific cardiac testing preferred
• Completion of basic arrhythmia class
• Current BLS-HCP certification required
