Responsibilities
- Initiates and completes activities leading to new or improved controls.
- Engages in safety projects by working with operations to define project parameters and desired results.
- Presents and provides EHS training, respirator fit testing, and industrial hygiene (IH) results.
- Conducts various EHS inspections and audits.
- Provides advisement on task-oriented programs such as lockout/tagout, confined spaces, or fall protection.
- Creates major EHS processes or systems (e.g., compliance, auditing, incident response).
- Assembles and leads investigative teams to address serious EHS incidents and develops reaction/resolution plans.
- Leads EHS audit or self-assessment programs.
- Leads a corporate Environmental, Health, Safety (EHS) program.
Requirements
- BS or MS graduates having an accredited degree in engineering sciences or related fields.
- Applicable EHS program management experience (3-5 years minimum).
Schedule
- Full-time, contract opportunity.
- Shift: 7 AM to 3 PM PST.
- Expected duration: 6 months.
Pay
$28 - $30.30 per hour. Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, and certifications.
