Job Responsibilities
- Facilitates the development of a strong EHS culture.
- Coaches all levels of employees to achieve best-in-class EHS performance.
- Reviews and updates safety policies and procedures as needed.
- Executes EHS related audits and inspections to verify compliance and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Manages corrective actions identified through audits and inspections to closure.
- Promotes safety awareness and culture throughout the facility on all shifts.
- Investigates and assists with managing workers compensation, liability, or property claims.
- Participates in facility safety committees.
- Administers EHS related training classes.
- Represents the company during federal, state, and local safety inspections.
- Tracks and reports EHS metrics and data.
- Communicates EHS metrics and goals to facility leadership and hourly employees.
- Applies appropriate safety procedures in practice.
Experience & Skills
- 1-3 years of experience in related field preferred.
- Strong understanding of safety regulations and standards.
- Excellent proficiency in all Microsoft Office Suite Products.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to train and motivate staff.
- Proficiency in safety management systems and compliance tracking.

Work Environment
- Manufacturing plant environment with noise, extreme temperatures, and significant movement of powered equipment, people, and conveyors.
- Typical food manufacturing facility work conditions.
- Physical demands including lifting to 50 pounds, frequent and/or infrequent bending, squatting, pushing, pulling, stretching/reaching, use of hands or fingers, talking, hearing, feeling objects, tools, controls, and standing/walking on concrete flooring.
- May require the physical ability to stand/walk for greater than 4 hours.
