Principal Duties & Responsibilities
- Assists the Facility EHS Manager in leading the EHS culture
- Coaches all levels of employees to achieve a best-in-class EHS performance
- Reviews and updates safety policies and procedures on a routine and as needed basis
- Participates and/or executes EHS related audits and inspections on a routine basis
- Tracks corrective actions identified through audits and inspections to closure
- Promotes safety awareness and culture throughout the facility on all shifts
- Follows up and helps manage workers compensation, liability or property claim investigations
- Affords representation of company during federal, state, and local safety inspections for OSI facilities
- Tracks EHS metrics and manages related data
- Communicates EHS metrics and goals to facility leadership and hourly employees
- Understands and places appropriate safety procedures in practice
Experience & Skills
- 3-5 years of experience in related field preferred
- Knowledge of EHS regulations, industry best practices, and related guidelines preferred
- GSP, ASP or other certifications preferred
- Experience with Management Systems, such as ISO 14001 Environmental Management System and ISO 45001 Occupational Health and Safety Management System preferred
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively, both individually and in a group setting
- Excellent proficiency in all Microsoft Office Suite Products
Education
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a related field preferred
Compensation & Benefits
- Base salary ranging from $72,512 to $108,768, with offers typically between the low and middle of the range, based on education, skills, experience and internal equity among other factors

Work Environment
- Manufacturing plant environment with noise, extreme temperatures, and significant movement of powered equipment, people and conveyors
- Typically requires standing/walking for greater than 4 hours
- May require frequent and/or infrequent bending, squatting, pushing, pulling, stretching/reaching, use hands or fingers, talk, hear, feel objects, tools, controls
- May require physical agility to lift up to 50 pounds
