Principal Duties & Responsibilities
- Leading the EHS culture while ensuring compliance with regulations and corporate standards.
- Coaching employees at all levels to achieve best-in-class EHS performance.
- Reviewing and updating safety policies and procedures as needed.
- Participating and executing EHS related audits and inspections to verify compliance and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Tracking corrective actions identified through audits and inspections to closure.
- Promoting safety awareness and culture throughout the facility on all shifts.
- Following up and managing workers compensation, liability or property claim investigations.
- Representing the company during safety inspections for OSI facilities.
- Communicating EHS metrics and goals to facility leadership and hourly employees.
- Understanding and applying EHS regulations, industry best practices, and other related guidelines.
- Administering EHS related training classes.
- Managing EHS metrics and related data.
- Performing other duties as assigned.
Experience & Skills
- 3-5 years of experience in related field preferred.
- Knowledge of EHS regulations, industry best practices, and related guidelines preferred.
- GSP, ASP or other certifications preferred.
- Experience with Management Systems, such as ISO 14001 and ISO 45001, preferred.
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively, both individually and in a group setting.
- Interpersonal skills to influence others.
- Excellent proficiency in all Microsoft Office Suite Products.
Education
- A Bachelor's Degree or equivalent is preferred.

Work Environment
- Manufacturing plant environment with noise, extreme temperatures, and significant movement of powered equipment, people, and conveyor.
- Typical of a food manufacturing facility.
- Physical agility to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Frequent and/or infrequent bending, squatting, pushing, pulling, stretching/reaching, use hands or fingers, talk, hear, feel objects, tools, controls, and standing/walking on concrete flooring.
- Physical ability to stand/walk for greater than 4 hours.
