About the Role
FII USA, Inc., a Foxconn Technology Group Company, is seeking an EHS Specialist to support environmental, health, and safety programs and help ensure compliance with regulatory and company standards. Once a part of the team, you will be responsible for a wide variety of tasks within the Environmental, Health, and Safety Department in a production environment and have the opportunity to display critical thinking skills to expand your career in Smart Manufacturing. The EHS Specialist will support daily EHS operations, assist with compliance initiatives, promote workplace safety, and contribute to continuous improvement efforts while assisting the Environmental, Health, and Safety Department as needed.
Responsibilities
- Assist in implementing and enforcing environmental, health, and safety (EHS) policies, procedures, and programs
- Support compliance with OSHA, EPA, and local, state, and federal regulatory requirements
- Conduct routine safety inspections, audits, and hazard assessments throughout production and facility areas
- Investigate incidents, near misses, and injuries; assist with root cause analysis and implementation of corrective actions
- Maintain EHS records and track key metrics, including incident reports, corrective actions, and compliance activities
- Assist with the coordination and delivery of safety training, including new hire orientation and recurring employee training
- Partner with Production, Engineering, Facilities, and Human Resources to promote a proactive safety culture
- Identify workplace hazards and recommend corrective and preventive actions to reduce risk
- Support emergency response planning, emergency drills, and incident preparedness activities
- Maintain documentation for regulatory reporting, inspections, audits, and compliance activities
- Monitor the proper handling, storage, and disposal of hazardous materials and waste
- Conduct routine inspections to ensure proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and compliance with safety requirements
- Assist with the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of EHS policies, procedures, and programs
- Support workers' compensation case management and return-to-work programs as needed
- Assist during regulatory inspections and provide documentation requested by regulatory agencies
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Environmental Health & Safety, Occupational Safety, Environmental Science, or a related field preferred
- 2+ years of experience in environmental, health, and safety, occupational safety, or environmental compliance within a manufacturing environment preferred
- Working knowledge of OSHA regulations and general industry safety standards
- Experience conducting safety inspections, audits, incident investigations, and root cause analysis preferred
- Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
- Knowledge of ISO 14001 and/or ISO 45001 standards preferred
- Ability to stand, walk, and work in a production environment for extended periods and lift up to 25 pounds
