About the role
The EHS Specialist oversees various Health, Safety and Environmental programs at the company’s East Providence, RI location, adhering to OSHA Process Safety Management (PSM) requirements.
Responsibilities
- Train employees on health and safety policies and best practices.
- Implement programs, policies, and procedures to reduce exposures and injuries.
- Conduct accident/incident investigations and root cause analysis.
- Serve as the lead on certain environmental, health and safety projects.
- Coordinate and support the facility’s hazardous waste program.
- Support compliance measures related to the site’s Industrial Hygiene Plan.
- Assist with external regulatory inquiries.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree (BA) from four-year college or university, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Certificates, licenses and registrations required: RCRA (resource conservation and recovery act) trained and certified.
- Computer skills required: Contract Management Systems.
Qualifications
- 5+ years’ experience in manufacturing environment.
- Proficient PC skills including Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point applications.
- Ability to be on call or work off hours as needed.
- Ability to work independently with attention to detail.
- Organizational skills.
- Analytical problem solving, written and verbal communications.
- Contribute to strong positive employee relations (internal customer service) at all levels within the organization.
- Detailed knowledge of relevant regulations such as OSHA, EPA, and ANSI.

Pay
Between $95,000 and $110,000 USD/year based on experience.
Schedule
Frequent on-call availability and occasional overtime may be required.
