EHS Specialist

This position will be responsible for coordinating the safety activities throughout the facility. This includes being directly responsible for the implementation, maintenance, and improvement of the facility safety and health, as well as their policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Owns the EHS programs and systems and develops and implements improvements activities.
• Develop and administer safety training for all employees (including outside sales personnel, office, etc.)
• Conduct timely EHS incidents and customer complaint investigations and ensure timely reporting to leadership.
• Own the corrective / preventative action systems to ensure all actions of incident investigations, customer complaints, safety committees, and other activities are properly tracked and communicated to team members. Complete corrective actions as well.
• Owns the site safety and environmental policies and procedures in accordance with Carlisle standards and regulatory requirements and complete scheduled updates.
• Maintain Hazcom requirements and keep SDS data current.
• Coordinate Industrial Hygiene surveys as required (air, noise, ergonomics, etc.)
• Ensure that SOP/ JSA’s & LOTO procedures are up-to-date. Prepare as needed.
• Lead the safety committee.
