Core Impact Areas
- Risk & Compliance Management: Conducting job hazard analyses (JHAs), process ergonomics assessments, and daily/weekly safety audits.
- Incident Investigation: Facilitating incident and near-miss investigations, tracking root causes, and implementing corrective actions.
- Data & Reporting: Maintaining and reporting accurate safety performance metrics (KPIs) to both onsite management and corporate systems.
- Training & Coaching: Leading safety orientations, delivering equipment introductions, and coaching associates on observed work habits.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partnering with Operations teams and Associate committees to resolve safety issues and raise overall hazard awareness.

Basic Qualifications
- A high school diploma or equivalent
- A minimum of 1 year in an Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) related field OR a bachelor’s degree in an EHS-relevant background OR 6 months experience performing in a safety-related role within Amazon
- Knowledge of OSHA regulations specifically 29 CFR 1910
- Experience using Microsoft Word and Excel in a professional capacity
- Experience maintaining confidentiality in matters involving security and/or personal issues in the workplace
Preferred Qualifications
- A bachelor’s degree or higher, preferably in a safety-related field
- Strong communication, teamwork, analysis, judgment, and customer focus skills
- Experience leading and managing a team, analyzing accident data, new processes, and machinery for potential safety concerns, conducting job hazard and job safety analyses
- Experience in emergency response and currently holds First Aid and CPR certificates
- Experience in workers compensation case management
