About the role

The EHS Safety Programs Manager serves as a campus leader within Environmental Health, Safety & Risk Management (EHSRM) and reports to the Director of Occupational Safety, Industrial Hygiene, and Environmental Programs. The position supervises assigned safety specialists and is responsible for leading, implementing, evaluating, and continuously improving occupational safety programs across the UCR campus community. This role is accountable for campus-wide program performance, including measurable outcomes, compliance results, and effective program execution.

  • Partner with campus units to identify hazards, implement controls, and ensure compliance with applicable requirements.

Requirements

  • Current work authorization when accepting a UCR staff position (UCR is currently unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment Visa for staff).
  • Compliance with all applicable University policies and/or collective bargaining agreements, as well as federal, state, or local government directives.

Pay

The full salary range for this position is $93,200 - $174,200 annually. The expected pay scale is $93,200 - $129,108 annually. Salary offers are based on a variety of considerations, including education, licensure and certifications, experience, and other business and organizational needs.
