About the role
The EHS Representative will contribute to the Health and Safety of the Kensico-Eastview Connection Tunnel Project. Key responsibilities include:
- Maintain a SAFE jobsite
- Monitor and correct safety issues
- Purchase and distribute safety equipment
- Oversee safety training and orientations
- Manage safety audits and inspections
- Document and investigate incidents
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations
Responsibilities
Supervisory responsibilities include:
- Training and mentoring employees
- Planning, assigning, and directing work
- Appraising performance and addressing issues
- Managing safety and health programs
- Conducting investigations and preparing reports
Requirements
- OSHA 30 credential
- Bachelor's degree in a Health & Safety related program
- 5+ years' experience as a safety manager or supervisor
- 10+ years of heavy civil construction experience
- Experience in underground construction and TBM operations
- Familiarity with NYCDEP safety and health regulations
- Current certifications in first aid, CPR, and Microsoft 365
- Knowledge of LOTO, confined space, RCRA, HAZWOPER, and BEDC training
