EHS Program Manager
for sections: About the role, Responsibilities, Requirements, Qualifications, Skills, Benefits, Pay, Schedule. Only include sections where there is real specific content. The posting includes: About Zero Carbon Systems (company description) maybe "About the role"? There's a "Position Overview". That could be considered "About the role". So we can have About the role
with paragraph(s) summarizing position overview.
Responsibilities: there is a big list under "Responsibilities Include:" with subheadings: EHS Program Leadership, Hazardous Waste Program, Process Safety & Documentation, Construction & Contractor Safety, Occupational Health & Industrial Hygiene, Incident Response & Continuous Improvement. We need to output a - for any list of duties/requirements/benefits. Should we break each bullet as a list item? Probably each bullet under responsibilities is a duty. Could also include subheadings as part of list items? We can just list each duty as
- . Might be many. We'll preserve all substantive info.
Requirements: The posting includes "Preferred Skills:" and "Physical Requirements:" maybe also "Requirements" section? There's no explicit "Requirements" heading but we can treat "Preferred Skills" as Skills section. "Physical Requirements" maybe part of Requirements? The instruction: Use headings for sections like Requirements, Qualifications, Skills, Benefits, Pay, Schedule. We need to include only if there is real specific content. We have Preferred Skills (list). We have Physical Requirements (list). We have maybe "Qualifications" not explicit but could infer from "ideal candidate brings a strong background in chemical operations and a proven record of implementing EHS best practices across a range of environments." That's a qualification. Also "This full-time position, based in Brighton, CO, is on-site and reports to the Director of Site Engineering." That's maybe location and reporting. Could be part of About the role.
We also have "Benefits": none mentioned. So we should not include Benefits heading. Pay: none. Schedule: none (though mentions flexible hours during commissioning etc but not explicit schedule). Probably not include.
Thus sections: About the role, Responsibilities, Qualifications (maybe), Skills (Preferred Skills), Physical Requirements (maybe as Requirements?). But we have to follow headings list: About the role, Responsibilities, Requirements, Qualifications, Skills, Benefits, Pay, Schedule. We can map:
- About the role: position overview + company description? The instruction: do NOT repeat the job title as a heading (the page already shows it) and do NOT put Job ID / requisition numbers as headings. So we can include About the role with content from Position Overview and maybe company description.
- Responsibilities: list of duties.
- Requirements: maybe include Physical Requirements and maybe "ideal candidate brings a strong background..."? But that's more qualification. Let's treat Requirements as Physical Requirements (since they are requirements). Could also include "Willingness to work flexible hours during commissioning, startup, and incident response as needed" as requirement.
- Qualifications: maybe include "ideal candidate brings a strong background in chemical operations and a proven record of implementing EHS best practices across a range of environments." Also "This full-time position, based in Brighton, CO, is on-site and reports to the Director of Site Engineering." Could be qualification.
- Skills: Preferred Skills list.
- Benefits: none -> omit.
- Pay: none -> omit.
- Schedule: none -> omit.
We must not invent or summarize away detail. Must preserve ALL substantive information. So we need to include all details from the posting, except boilerplate (EEO, Right to Work, AI tools, etc). Also remove duplicated lines.
We need to output only HTML fragment, no /, no markdown fences.
Let's extract substantive content:
Company description: "About Zero Carbon Systems Zero Carbon Systems (ZCS) is a clean energy and direct air capture company on a mission to accelerate the transition to a zero carbon future. The ideal candidate brings a strong background in chemical operations and a proven record of implementing EHS best practices across a range of environments. This full-time position, based in Brighton, CO, is on-site and reports to the Director of Site Engineering."
Responsibilities: list with subheadings.
Let's copy responsibilities text exactly as given, but we need to format as list items. We'll break each bullet under each subheading into separate
- . Might be long but okay.
Responsibilities Include:
EHS Program Leadership
- Serve as the lead of ZCS's EHS program, setting strategy, priorities, and standards across sites and functions

- Coordinate with regulatory agencies, industry groups, and other stakeholders on EHS matters including permitting, reporting, and compliance requirements
- Stay current on emerging EHS trends, regulations, and best practices to continuously improve program effectiveness
Hazardous Waste Program
- Own and manage ZCS's hazardous waste program end-to-end, including waste characterization, labeling, accumulation area management, and manifesting
- Schedule and coordinate hazardous waste pickups with licensed disposal vendors; maintain vendor relationships and service agreements
- Maintain complete and audit-ready hazardous waste records including manifests, land disposal restriction (LDR) forms, and biennial/annual reports as required by RCRA and state regulations

- Train employees on proper hazardous waste handling, segregation, and emergency response for spills or releases
- Maintain SDS library and chemical inventory
Process Safety & Documentation
- Lead company Hazard Identification (HAZID), Hazard and Operability (HAZOP), Process Hazard Analysis (PHA), and Job Hazard Analysis (JHA) activities and author or approve the resulting safety documentation
- Lead and document Pre-Startup Safety Reviews (PSSRs) for new and modified equipment, ensuring all action items are closed prior to startup
- Own the full library of EHS and process safety documentation including PHAs, PSSRs, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), JHAs, permit-to-work records, and management-of-change (MOC) files
- Support engineering design reviews (equipment selection, startup/shutdown/upset planning, operability) to ensure EHS considerations are integrated from the outset
- Review all SOPs for accuracy and safety and confirm they are being implemented as written
- Review and sign off on non-standard operational procedures (deviations from SOPs) and equipment maintenance; develop and administer the permit-to-work program
Construction & Contractor Safety
- Ensure all construction and contractor plans meet industry best practices (e.g., lifting, welding, hot work, LOTO)
- Oversee contractor onboarding, safety orientation, and on-site compliance with ZCS safety requirements
Occupational Health & Industrial Hygiene
- Identify potential health hazards, including exposure to chemicals, heat, noise, ergonomic risks, and other physical hazards
- Conduct exposure assessments, environmental monitoring, and workplace sampling to determine employee exposure levels

- Regular fieldwork on experimental and operating equipment; must work safely around energized electrical systems, high-pressure equipment, and hazardous materials
- Willingness to work flexible hours during commissioning, startup, and incident response as needed
Now we need to decide which sections to map.
About the role: combine company description + position overview? Might be too much but okay.
We could split: About the role: company description. Position overview could be part of About the role or Qualifications. But we need to avoid duplication. Let's put company description in About the role. Then position overview maybe in Qualifications? Actually position overview describes the role; could be About the role as well. But we can include both in About the role paragraph(s). That's fine.
Requirements: maybe Physical Requirements (since they are requirements). Also maybe "Willingness to work flexible hours..." is part of physical requirements.
Qualifications: ideal candidate background etc. Also "This full-time position, based in Brighton, CO, is on-site and reports to the Director of Site Engineering." Could be qualification.
Skills: Preferred Skills.
We must not include Benefits, Pay, Schedule.
Now we need to output HTML with
headings and
for prose,
- for lists.
We must not include any boilerplate like EEO, Right to Work, AI tools.
Let's craft:
