EHS Manager

Responsibilities
- Be a visible safety leader with a strong shop floor presence—recognized as the go to expert for safety, health, and environmental mentorship.
- Collaborate closely with the Plant Manager and leadership team to align EHS initiatives with site priorities and long term objectives.
- Proactively identify workplace hazards and collaborate with plant teams to eliminate or mitigate risk.
- Champion a ZERO HARM culture, driving safe behaviors and practices across all levels of the organization.
- Monitor and interpret EHS regulatory requirements (OSHA, EPA), assess potential impacts, and translate requirements into practical, effective solutions.
- Own environmental programs related to waste, water, and energy, supporting both regulatory compliance and sustainability initiatives.
- Engage employees at all levels to identify, develop, and implement continuous EHS improvements.
- Manage EHS documentation, permits, and vendor relationships, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
- Coordinate workers’ compensation cases, partnering with HR and Legal to drive appropriate outcomes.
- Lead incident reporting and investigations, including root cause analysis and corrective action follow up.
- Facilitate EHS training programs, ensuring all regulatory and company requirements are met and well understood.
Requirements
- Background in Engineering, Science, Safety, or Environmental disciplines preferred
- Bachelor's degree in safety, environmental, engineering, construction management or related preferred
- Associate Safety Professional (ASP) certification or Certified Safety Professional (CSP) preferred
- 7+ years of progressive experience leading safety and/or environmental management systems
- Experience working in a manufacturing or construction environment
- Strong working knowledge of OSHA and EPA regulations, with the ability to apply them effectively in a plant setting
