About the role
The EHS Manager will evaluate multi-site safety systems for improvement opportunities and build safety system processes, guidance, and documentation. They will ensure compliance with applicable regulations while promoting a strong safety culture across facilities.
Responsibilities
- Evaluate and improve multi-site safety systems.
- Document safety policies, procedures, and compliance resources.
- Facilitate safety inspections, risk assessments, job hazard analyses, and workplace audits.
- Lead incident investigations, root cause analysis, corrective actions, and prevention initiatives.
- Maintain required EHS documentation, records, reports, and compliance tracking systems.
- Support regulatory inspections and coordinate responses to findings.
- Develop and deliver EHS training programs.
- Monitor environmental programs and ensure compliance with applicable environmental requirements.
- Partner with cross-functional teams to improve workplace safety, processes, and operational performance.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives related to safety, environmental performance, and operational excellence.
Requirements
- A degree in Environmental Health & Safety, Occupational Safety, Engineering, or related field or Professional certifications such as CSP, ASP, CIH, CHMM, or similar.
- 5+ years of progressive EHS experience in a manufacturing, aerospace, defense, or high-tech industrial environment.
- Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations and workplace safety requirements.
- Experience developing and implementing EHS programs and compliance initiatives.
- Experience conducting audits, inspections, risk assessments, and incident investigations.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to influence employees at all levels.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- VPP or OSHA authorized trainer experience.
- Knowledge of ISO 14001 and/or ISO 45001 standards.
- Experience with safety management systems and continuous improvement programs.
- Experience working with government or defense-related compliance requirements.

Schedule
Remote US. Preferred candidates will be located in VA, PA, OR, CA, OH, MA with occasional travel to the company sites as needed.
