EHS Manager

We are seeking an experienced EHS Manager to join our senior leadership team at our Sturbridge, MA manufacturing facility. This onsite role is responsible for shaping the site’s safety culture, ensuring regulatory compliance, and integrating process safety programs in a continuous manufacturing environment. The EHS Manager is a key member of the site’s senior management team and will serve as a strategic partner in ensuring the health and safety of our employees, the protection of our environment, and the reliability of our operations. The successful candidate will demonstrate visible leadership, core technical expertise, and a passion for safety.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership, direction, and mentorship to the site EHS team and foster a culture of proactive safety and environmental stewardship.
• Partner with site leadership to develop, implement, and continuously improve EHS strategies and initiatives aligned with company vision and regulatory obligations.
• Champion employee engagement and accountability around EHS policies, practices, and initiatives.
• Lead permitting, reporting, auditing, and regulatory inspections.
• Lead Worker’s Compensation claim management.
• Collaborate with engineering, operations, and maintenance teams to integrate process safety into project design, operational changes, and day-to-day decision-making.
• Lead investigations of incidents and near misses, ensuring thorough root cause analysis and effective corrective actions.
• Continuously evaluate and improve safety programs and processes.

Requirements

• BS/BA in a related discipline (required).
• Minimum of 7+ years of experience and leadership in progressive EHS roles.
• Extensive knowledge of applicable industrial regulations and standards.
• Strong leadership skills and experience working with cross-functional teams.
• Experience working in manufacturing.

Preferred Qualifications

• MS in a related discipline.
• Professional certification(s) such as CSP, CHMM, or CIH.
• Experience in core process safety management disciplines.
• Experience working in a Union environment.

Pay

Hiring range: $110,000 - $150,000. The final offer may vary within this range based on a candidate's experience, skills, qualifications, and internal equity considerations.
