EHS Generalist

Responsibilities

• Develop and Implement Safety Programs
• Conduct Safety Audits
• Conduct Risk Assessments
• Manage Incident Reporting
• Perform Root Cause Analysis
• Auxiliary Worker’s Compensation
• Manage Hazardous Materials and Waste Management
• Maintain Industrial Hygiene
• Conduct Ergonomic Assessments
• Coordinate with Regulatory Agencies
• Ensure Regulatory Compliance
• Lead Safety Committees
• Care for Emergency Preparedness

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in occupational health and safety, or a related field
• 5 or more years of experience in EHS management, preferably in manufacturing
• Proficiency in using EHS management software and tools for tracking compliance and reporting
• Strong knowledge of EHS regulations and standards (OSHA, EPA, etc.)
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to influence and motivate others to prioritize safety and environmental responsibility
• Ability to operate a computer and software including Microsoft Office, EHS management and training software
• Motivated, self-managed professional with the ability to anticipate and react to the needs of multiple managers and organizational needs without direct supervision
• Preferred: Advanced Certifications (Associate Safety Professional (ASP), Certified Safety Professional (CSP), Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH), or Certified Hazardous Materials Manager (CHMM))
