About the role

We are seeking an experienced EHS & Facilities Technician to support facility operations by maintaining equipment, managing preventive maintenance programs, and promoting a safe and compliant work environment. This role combines facilities maintenance with Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) responsibilities and requires strong troubleshooting skills, technical expertise, and a proactive approach to workplace safety.

Responsibilities

  • Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on machinery, equipment, and facility systems.
  • Develop and maintain preventive maintenance schedules to minimize downtime and extend equipment life.
  • Ensure equipment operates efficiently and safely.
  • Diagnose and repair mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, and facility-related systems.
  • Troubleshoot and maintain: HVAC systems, building electrical systems, plumbing, air compressors and compressed air lines, and exhaust and ventilation systems.
  • Coordinate repairs with outside contractors when needed.
  • Assist with the installation and commissioning of new equipment and facility systems.
  • Conduct routine safety inspections and facility audits.
  • Identify workplace hazards and implement corrective actions.
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA, environmental regulations, and company safety policies.
  • Promote a strong culture of workplace safety by participating in safety meetings and training.
  • Maintain accurate maintenance, inspection, and repair records.
  • Prepare maintenance and equipment performance reports.
  • Document safety inspections and corrective actions.
  • Partner with production, quality, and operations teams to coordinate maintenance activities while minimizing downtime.
  • Assist with office moves and workspace setup as needed.
  • Provide cross-functional support and training when required.
  • Monitor inventory levels for maintenance parts, tools, and supplies.
  • Recommend replacement parts and equipment purchases to support operational efficiency.

Qualifications

A high school diploma or equivalent is required. Technical training or certification in mechanical maintenance, industrial maintenance, or a related field is preferred. The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of experience in facilities or mechanical maintenance, with experience supporting Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) programs in a manufacturing environment.
