About the role

Grimmway Produce Group is seeking an EHS Technician to work with the Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) team as well as operations and other departments to ensure a safe and healthy work environment.

Responsibilities

  • Work with the EHS team and operations to maintain a safe and healthy work environment.
  • Ensure compliance with EHS regulatory standards.
  • Use Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, Outlook, and other similar software programs.
  • Communicate effectively with all levels of the organization.
  • Show organizational and detail-oriented skills.
  • Work different shifts, including weekends and holidays as needed.
  • Travel may be required.
  • Must be bi-lingual in English and Spanish.
  • Maintain a valid driver's license meeting company policy, insurance, and DMV requirements.

Requirements

  • Knowledgeable in EHS regulatory standards.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, Outlook, and other similar software programs.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Organized, detail-oriented, and possesses strong interpersonal skills.
  • Able to work different shifts.
  • May be required to work overtime, weekends, and holidays.
  • Occasional travel required.
  • Bi-lingual in English and Spanish.
  • Valid driver's license meeting company policy, insurance, and DMV requirements.

Qualifications

Desirable to possess the following certificates:

  • OSHA 30 Hour Course
  • Ag Safety Certificate
  • NSC Safety Certificate
  • Forklift Train-the-Trainer
  • First AID/CPR

Skills

Desirable skills include:

  • Knowledgeable in EHS regulatory standards.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Organizational and detail-oriented skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively at all levels of the organization.
  • Ability to work different shifts.
  • Ability to work overtime, weekends, and holidays.
  • Bi-lingual in English and Spanish.
  • Valid driver's license meeting company policy, insurance, and DMV requirements.
