Key Responsibilities
- Support implementation of EHS programs on assigned electrical construction projects.
- Identify hazards and assist project teams in implementing effective risk mitigation strategies.
- Conduct site safety inspections, audits, and observations to verify compliance with company and regulatory requirements.
- Participate in and lead the development and maintenance of Site-Specific Safety Plans (SSSPs), Activity Hazard Analyses (AHAs), and other project safety documentation.
- Facilitate toolbox talks, safety orientations, and safety stand-downs for employees and subcontractors.
- Assist with and lead incident reporting and investigations, including documentation, identification of causal factors, and corrective action implementation.
- Provide oversight of high-risk work activities, including fall protection, lockout/tagout procedures, confined space entry, and other high-risk activities.
- Maintain accurate safety records, including inspections, incident reports, training documentation, and regulatory records.
- Participate in project safety meetings and coordinate project management, general contractors, and other stakeholders.
- Support implementation of corporate EHS policies, initiatives, and safety improvement programs.
- Provide coaching and guidance to field personnel to reinforce safe work practices and promote a proactive safety culture.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Health & Safety, Occupational Safety, Construction Management, Industrial Hygiene, or a related field preferred.
- Equivalent combination of education, training, and relevant experience may be considered.
- 0–5 years of experience in construction safety, environmental health, or occupational safety roles.
- Experience in commercial, industrial, or electrical construction environments preferred.
- Familiarity with construction safety regulations including 29 CFR 1926 construction standards and basic knowledge of NFPA 70E standard for electrical safety.
- Required Training / Certifications: OSHA 30-Hour – Construction, First Aid/CPR/AED Training, NFPA 70E Training.
