About the role
As an EHR Support Analyst I at Primary Health Care (PHC), you will play a crucial role in supporting the electronic health record (EHR) system in a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) environment. PHC, founded in 1981, provides healthcare and supportive services to all, regardless of insurance, immigration status, or ability to pay. Our mission is to enable services such as benefits enrollment, case management, translation, and patient education for those experiencing homelessness in Polk County.
Responsibilities
- Provide first-line Epic support to end users across medical, dental, and behavioral health departments.
- Aid with system configuration and maintenance to support ambulatory workflows.
- Troubleshoot and escalate EHR issues, ensuring minimal disruption to patient care.
- Participate in testing, validation, and go-live support for upgrades, enhancements, and new implementations.
- Assist with the development of training materials and provide basic end-user education.
- Work closely with clinical and administrative staff to understand FQHC specific workflows and compliance needs.
- Maintain knowledge of HIPAA, UDS reporting, and FQHC documentation requirements.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Associate’s degree in healthcare, IT, or related field. Equivalent experience may be considered.
- A minimum of 1 year of experience in EHR support, healthcare IT, or clinical systems experience.
Qualifications
- Understanding of ambulatory and community health workflows.
- Strong computer proficiency.
- Strong problem-solving and customer service skills.
Skills
- Hands-on experience using an EHR system.
- Fluency in spoken English and Spanish.
