EHR Senior Application Analyst (Patient Access)

Responsibilities

• Design, build, test, train, and support the Electronic Health Record (EHR) system with minimal direction.
• Optimize and configure the EHR system, collaborating with cross-functional teams to enhance patient care and operational efficiencies.
• Exercise independent judgment and discretion in day-to-day support activities.
• Perform complex design and analysis tasks related to hospital business operations.
• Mentor and provide guidance to other analysts to foster their professional growth and development.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Informatics, Nursing, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Certification in Epic applications (e.g., Epic Ambulatory, Epic Inpatient, Epic Revenue Cycle, etc.); any new certifications must be obtained within 3 months of hire.
• Four (4) years of experience implementing, configuring, and supporting Epic EHR applications.
• Proficiency in system configuration, customization, and optimization within the Epic environment.
• Strong understanding of hospital business operations, clinical workflows, and IT applications in healthcare.
• Technical expertise in analysis, process design, workflow, research, installation/implementation, and support of EHR systems.
• Ability to independently prioritize work assignments, meet deadlines, and manage multiple projects.
• Customer service-oriented with excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Able to travel up to 50% and take calls as needed.

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior experience in EMR implementations and/or support with two or more Epic applications.
• Experience with project management methodologies and tools.
• PMP Certification.

Pay

A reasonable compensation estimate for this role is $94,993.60 to $137,280.00 annually. This estimate includes wages, benefits, and other forms of compensation and is specific to California. The exact starting compensation will be determined based on factors such as skillset, years of applicable experience, education, credentials, and licensure.
