Key Responsibilities
- Remotely monitor EEG, EMU, LTM, and sEEG studies in real-time.
- Perform routine EEG procedures across various modalities.
- Unhook patients at the conclusion of EEG studies as needed.
- Accurately recognize and differentiate normal and abnormal EEG patterns across neonatal, pediatric, and adult populations.
- Document patient seizure semiology with precision.
- Maintain professional communication with patients and medical staff.
- Operate and troubleshoot EEG equipment and other major systems (Cadwell, Nihon Kohden, Xltek, etc.).
- Work independently with minimal supervision in a remote setting.
Requirements
- High School diploma (GED) or higher.
- A minimum of 1-year experience in the field.
- Must be ABRET board-certified R.EEGT (CLTM preferred).
- Working knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and pathophysiology as it relates to EEG.
- Must have a secure HIPAA compliant workspace that is free from unauthorized viewing.
- Must have a reliable internet connection and backup.
- Must be able to work 12-hour shifts.
- Must be able to operate, store, and maintain EEG equipment as necessary.
- Must maintain an appropriate supply inventory sufficient to conduct multiple EEG setups if necessary.
- Must be proficient with Microsoft Office.
- Must have a valid driver’s license.
- Must maintain current AHA CPR certification.
Physical Requirements
- Must be able to move and lift up to 50lbs.
- Must be able to stand, kneel, and stoop as needed.
- Must be able to sit for long periods of time.
- Must be able to type at least 45 words per minute for the purposes of data entry.
