EEG Technician
Job Summary
Full time (Monday - Friday, day shift), no nights, no on-call, no weekends, no holidays
Qualifications
- Minimum 1-2 Years Of EEG Experience
- CPR certification preferred
Responsibilities
The EEG Technician performs testing to measure and record electrical activity of the brain.
- Preparing patient for EEG by explaining procedures.
- Applying electrodes and checking their performance.
- Performing standard EEG recording procedures.
- Calibrating and adjusting EEG apparatus.
- Delivering EEGs to physicians for interpretation.
- Maintaining records, files, and tracing information.
- Ordering supplies and equipment.
- Scheduling and completing pacemaker monitoring and contacting patients if monitoring is not done.
- Maintaining pacemaker files.
- Aiding physicians related tests.
- Performing other duties as required.
Must read, understand, and adhere to all Physician Services policies and procedures. Practice and adhere to the Code of Conduct and Mission and Value Statement.
Requirements
- Knowledgeable and skilled in all EEG diagnostic testing of EEG testing.
- Knowledge of anatomy and physiology.
- Skilled in performing a wide range of tests as directed, writing reports, and completing records.
- Ability to communicate effectively.
