EEG Tech III - Full Time

About the role

The EEG Technologist III (Long-Term Monitoring for Epilepsy (LTME) and ICU/cEEG Specialist) is an advanced level position in the epilepsy monitoring unit.

Responsibilities

• Passes examination by the American Board of Registration of Electroencephalographic and Evoked Potential Technologists, Inc. (ABRET)
• Proven competence to obtain credentials in electroencephalography (R. EEG T.) and long-term monitoring (CLTM)
• Provides findings, results, and a descriptive analysis according to facility policy and procedures
• Performs all core functions of the EEG Tech II
• May also perform the following responsibilities: Wada, PET, and Ictal SPECT
• Strong well-developed communication skills are essential
• Performs procedures appropriate to their competence and credentials held under general technical supervision
• Works days, nights and/or weekends and holidays as needed

Requirements

• GED or High School diploma
• Board Eligible but does not need to have: REEGT Certification Radiological Electroencephalography Technologist - ABRET or other National registry
• 3+ years pediatric experience

Qualifications

• Associate degree or certificate in neurodiagnostic technology (CAAHEP-accredited program preferred)
• CLTM Certification Preferred, But Not Required
