Educator Licensure Adjunct Pool - Academic Year 2026-2027

About the role

The College of Education, Department of Educator Licensure invites applications for returning Adjunct Instructors with expertise in various core program areas.

Responsibilities

• Teach courses in Elementary Education/GTEP, Elem/Added Elementary Endorsement/International Teacher Education Program, Graduate Teacher Education Program, Secondary/Added Secondary Endorsement/International Teacher Education Program, READ Oregon Special Education K-12 Initial License/Add SPED, Graduate Certificate/License, Visually Impaired Learner/Blindness and Low Vision Graduate Certificate/Licensure, Early Intervention Special Education Graduate Certificate/License, Bilingual Teacher Pathway English for Speakers of Other languages (ESOL) Endorsement, Inclusive Elementary Educator Program/Secondary Dual Education Program, Principal License, Professional Administrator License, Mathematics Learning, Teaching, & Leading Program: Grades 6-12/PreK-Grade 8.
• Collaborate with schools and provide research and advocacy support for children in the Portland region.
• Contribute to a diverse and inclusive environment.

Requirements

• Master’s Degree in Education or closely related field.
• Previous teaching experience.
• Experience teaching adults.

Qualifications

• Ed.D or Ph.D. in Education or closely related field.
• Experience with linguistic and cultural diversity.
• Experience with equity/anti-bias education.
• Experience with students with differing abilities.
• Experience with principalship, administrative licensure, reading, early intervention/early childhood special education.

Skills

• Ability to create an inclusive environment.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills.
• Experience with adult learners.
• Knowledge of current educational trends and best practices.

Benefits

• Compensation based on PSUFA Collective Bargaining Agreement.
• Paid per credit hour.

Pay

Adjunct faculty are paid per credit hour according to the PSUFA Collective Bargaining Agreement.

Schedule

Adjunct faculty are hired on either a per quarter or an academic year basis.
