About the role
This position identifies, assesses, designs, implements, and evaluates education programs for St. Clair Hospital staff to support quality patient care.
Responsibilities
- Identifies issues in patient care and recommends methods for improvement.
- Uses knowledge and skills as an educator, consultant, role model, and innovator in nursing practice.
Requirements
- Current licensure to practice professional nursing in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.
- Three years of experience in an Operating Room setting.
- Master’s degree in Nursing or Nursing Education, or current enrollment in a Nursing or Nursing Education Master’s degree program.
- Bachelor’s degree in nursing.
- Cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) Instructor certification.
- Demonstrated expertise in program development and implementation.
- Computer expertise with Microsoft Office software.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
Preferred Qualifications
- Certification as a Certified Nurse Operating Room (CNOR), or certification as Certified Peri-Anesthesia Nurse (CPAN).
- PALS and ACLS certifications.
- ACLS instructor certification.
