About the role
The Educator Assistant (EA) will assist the Educator I in implementing traditional and non-traditional education and recreational activities for youth in grades K–7. Responsibilities include supporting homework completion, modeling positive behavior, and maintaining strong communication with participants, staff, and parents. The EA may assist with planning and implementing special events and Family Nights, and is expected to maintain a clean work environment.
Responsibilities

- Support youth with homework completion
- Act as a positive role model for students
- Demonstrate strong communication skills with program participants, staff, and parents
- Assist with planning and implementing special events and Family Nights
- Maintain a clean work environment
- Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
- High School Diploma
- College credits in Education preferred
- Experience in childcare or a related field helpful
- Detail-oriented and organized
- Willingness to work with a diverse population and multiple age/grade groups
- Safety-oriented mindset
- Ability to work well with others and respond to direction and feedback
- Ability to transition between school-year and summer programming preferred
- Must complete Pennsylvania Act 153 of 2014 mandated reporter training within 30 days of hire and complete recurrent training every five years
Schedule
Part-time position with availability Monday through Friday, 3:30 PM to 7:30 PM. Occasional weekend work may be required for special events.
Pay
Rate: $15.00 per hour
