About the role

As a member of a certified Great Place to Work, you will guide nursing students to change the lives of patients they treat throughout their career in healthcare. You will share your success story with the next generation of nurses.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with instructors on activities to achieve optimal success for students.
  • Demonstrate enthusiasm for the teaching/learning process for individual students.
  • Create educational support materials such as PowerPoints, bulletin boards, posters, etc.
  • Routinely contribute to the improvement of class materials and syllabi within a shared governance culture.
  • Maintain scholarly activities.
  • Participate in professional growth and service in accordance with university policies.

Requirements

  • Working knowledge of Canvas, LMS, ATI, Zoom, and MS Office Suite.
  • Compliance with state, federal, and local laws/regulations relating to programs, governmental compliance, and other regulatory standards such as the state Board of Nursing.
  • Vocational Nursing Program - Must have at least one year of in-field practical experience as a Licensed Vocational Nurse or Registered Nurse, preferably within the last 5 years.
  • High school graduate or equivalent required.
  • Must hold a current California active license as a Vocational Nurse or Registered Nurse.
  • Must demonstrate training in educational methods, testing, and evaluation and evidence of strength in instructional methodology, delivery, and techniques as indicated by evaluation personnel within 30 days of beginning instruction.

Qualifications

  • Strong educational background in nursing.
  • Experience in a clinical setting preferred.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Skills

  • Proficiency in Canvas, LMS, ATI, Zoom, and MS Office Suite.
  • Knowledge of educational methods, testing, and evaluation.
  • Strong instructional methodology, delivery, and techniques.
