Educational Sign Language Interpreter in Pasco County

About the role

SignTalk is currently seeking qualified, experienced freelance Educational Sign Language Interpreters to provide classroom interpreting services at various educational (K-12) settings. Placements are 5 days a week placements and shared positions.

Responsibilities

• Provide interpreting services in educational settings (K-12)
• Ensure clear communication between Deaf and hearing students
• Adhere to sign language protocols and guidelines
• Work collaboratively with teachers and other staff members

Requirements

• Must be certified or qualified as a Sign Language Interpreter
• Experience working in educational settings preferred
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation (for per diem work)
• Passing score on a state-approved interpreter certification exam

Skills

• Proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL)
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

Pay

Sign Language Interpreter rates are based on certification and types of placement! Placements are immediately available in Pasco county. Other Titles May Include: ASL Interpreter, Sign Language, American Sign Language, American Sign Language Interpreter.
