About the role
Facilitate the translation of verbal communication for deaf/hard-of-hearing students by interpreting presentations, instructions, and assignments in a variety of educational settings, both sign-to-voice and voice-to-sign.
Direct supervision is received from the assigned school district or BOCES supervisor. Related work may also be required.
Responsibilities
- Interpret verbal communication for deaf/hard-of-hearing students in classroom and school environments
- Translate presentations, instructions, and assignments between sign language and spoken language
- Perform related duties as assigned
