About the role

Apple Montessori Schools seeks an Educational Director to lead and inspire the next generation of young minds. This role involves supporting both students and educators, fostering a collaborative and inspiring learning environment, and ensuring high-quality Montessori practices across all schools.

Responsibilities

• Partner with families to provide a supportive and enriching environment for children.
• Mentor staff through coaching, feedback, and professional development.
• Ensure the implementation of high-quality Montessori practices.
• Oversee program quality, compliance, and classroom environments.
• Maintain strong and transparent communication with families through various events and workshops.
• Serve as a trusted leader who supports staff growth, retention, and a positive, collaborative school culture.

Requirements

• A Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education, Montessori Education, or a related field is required.
• Montessori certification at the Early Childhood level (AMS, AMI, NAMC or equivalent) is preferred or willing to be obtained.
• Minimum of 3 years in early childhood education.
• 1 year of experience as a supervisor or coordinator.
• Knowledge of the Montessori philosophy and methods.
• Strong mentorship and communication skills.
• Experience with educational technology and administrative tools (e.g., ProCare, Salesforce, Vector, etc.).
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Strong interpersonal skills to engage with staff, parents, and the broader community.
• Flexibility with scheduling and location, as this role requires travel to multiple sites as well as opening and closing shifts.

Pay

Final compensation is determined based on a combination of factors, including years of experience in a similar role, relevant certifications and/or credentials, and the size and/or geographic location of the school.

Schedule

Office-based, requires a full range of body motion, including bending, sitting, and standing, through the required workday. May require working under stressful conditions, and requires flexibility in response to staffing needs. Must be regularly available and willing to work at least the required hours per day and weekends as requested. Perform duties onsite unless otherwise indicated and approved.
