Educational Consultant, Alpha - $150,000/year USD

Crossover · Houston, TX · Yesterday
Business Development$150k/yrFull-time

What You Will Be Doing

  • Facilitating one-hour live workshops on life skills (public speaking, focus, feedback exchange) for K-8 (elementary and middle school) cohorts, executing Alpha's structured playbook rather than creating content independently
  • Conducting motivation sessions using student analytics and Alpha's incentive model (school currency, leaderboards) to achieve 100% student goal completion
  • Developing Guides on program adherence and standards maintenance, with each session yielding concrete improvement steps
  • Managing your own student cohort while simultaneously developing other Guides
  • Monitoring student satisfaction scores, goal completion rates, and Guide performance data weekly to identify underperformance early

What You Won’t Be Doing

  • Lecturing or tutoring students on academic content. Students complete academics through self-directed apps without adult supervision.
  • Creating curriculum or developing original lesson plans. The playbook is established; your responsibility is delivery precision, not innovation.
  • Coaching Guides on instructional methods. Guides don't instruct, so you're developing their energy, motivation, and accountability capabilities instead.
  • Accepting 99% when the standard is 100%. Maintaining the standard demonstrates your belief in their capacity to reach it.
  • Serving as the campus empathy figure. Students receive connection here, alongside direct feedback and meaningful consequences.

About the Role

The most powerful thing you can do for a student who scored 99% is refuse to call it passing. If that statement makes you uncomfortable, this role isn't for you. If it resonates, read on.

Alpha students complete their academic learning in two hours daily through self-directed AI-powered applications. No traditional teachers. No lectures. No classroom-based content delivery. This structure allows you to focus on what truly shifts student outcomes: facilitating high-impact workshops on public speaking, focus, and feedback; driving students toward complete learning goal attainment using live analytics; and developing the Guides who work with you on campus.

A typical morning may involve coaching a Guide one-on-one, analyzing performance data to identify where a cohort is struggling. By midday you're facilitating a live student workshop, executing a structured activity on feedback exchange. Afternoons are dedicated to motivation work: connecting with students individually, uncovering their motivators, and leveraging Alpha's incentive framework to re-engage a reluctant middle schooler. You'll manage your own cohort throughout, ensuring you maintain the same competencies you're coaching others to build.

You'll develop other Guides immediately, and as you produce measurable results, your authority over campus program standards will expand. Uphold the standard. Transform the student.
