About the role

The Wauwatosa School District (WSD) is seeking candidates interested in serving as an Educational Assistant at Underwood Elementary School. Underwood Elementary School serves approximately 290 students.

Responsibilities

• Works with classroom teachers to help achieve instructional benchmarks and behavioral objectives.

Requirements

• High school diploma
• Bachelor’s degree (preferred)
• Elementary teaching certification through the Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction (preferred)
• Ability to read, comprehend, follow, and give oral and written instructions
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment
• Excellent communication skills
• Experience with the needs of a diverse student population (preferred)
• Ability to work with technology and online student support programs
• Experience working with relevant online learning tools (e.g., Kahn Academy) (preferred)
• Insight and understanding of student support programs related to literacy and math (preferred)

• Without Teacher License: $17.98
• With SpEd Program Aide License: $19.18
