Educational Assistant

Job Description

Interested candidate should:

• Ideally have early childcare certification education or teaching aide certification
• Have experience working with children aged 4-6 years old
• Have experience with collaborative problem solving model and sensory regulation
• Have experience and/or knowledge of working in an emergent curriculum environment and the Reggio Emilia philosophy
• Be flexible and look forward to responding to planning to changes in programming as the day requires - based on weather or the interests of the children
• Enjoy collaboration and working in a team planning environment
• Have or be willing to take first aid certification
• Have or be willing to submit a current (within 3 months) criminal record and vulnerable sector check
• Be able to get to our school at Rosemont Community Association (2807 10 St NW, Calgary, AB T2K 1H2)

Responsibilities

This Position Will Work directly to support children and the classroom teacher in daily routines and activities including risk assessment with children.

The majority of day is spent in the outdoors in all seasons except in extreme weather;

Requirements

Available 5 days per week (Monday- Friday) 8:30am to 4:30pm

Pay

$20 per hour to start

Schedule

Begins just prior to the 2026-2027 school year (end of August 2026)
